Our Story
Noelle Banuelos began her career in education as a classroom teacher in a South Bronx community school in New York City. She experienced firsthand how students and families of color from disadvantaged neighborhoods fared through the education system - from limited resources, to ineffective educational programming, to lackluster professional development for teachers. She then moved to California, where she spent several years in adult education schools in underserved areas, helping adults earn their high school diplomas and enroll in college.
Her students became role models for their families and thriving members of their communities. These experiences drove her mission to promote educational equity and effectiveness through systematic research and evaluation, which led her to establish her firm, NVB Consulting, LLC.
The Work We Do
Dr. Noelle Banuelos has spent the past 25 years working with schools, districts, and organizations to improve the quality of education for the students, families, and communities they serve, from early childhood to K-12 and post-secondary education. Her doctorate in Social Research Methodology has given her the foundation and tools to support educational, instructional, and organizational development and change. Dr. Banuelos’ experience as an educator allows her to work with others in building their own capacity for evaluation, inquiry, and change.
